not wild camping but a site....but basic, cheap and beautiful and wont be at all busy in November. Stonethwaite campsite...south of Keswick & derwent water and just left after Rosthwaite. Just be careful on the long rough track into site. The best place to stay in the lakes in my humble opinion

the exact same thing has happened with my bongo :( and its been sitting very forlornly outside the house for a month. Luckily when it snapped nobody was hurt....am kicking myself now though for not looking more closely in the weeks leading up to it, as could tell something wasn't right...hey ho ...
