Hi Guys
I wonder if anyone can help me with some pointers. We have a small central locking remote that came with our 1996 P reg Bongo (SGL5F) 4 wheel drive diesel. Just a simple open/close button one. A Naldec 6J31A it says on the inside. I've replaced the battery in the past no problem but this doesn't seem to have cured it this time. It stopped locking / unlocking. I have tried a new battery but no joy. I don't know if it's the handset or the receiver thats on the blink. When you stand next to the van and push open the door locks twitch and theres a faint click from the drivers side front of the vehicle but when you push close nothing happens. What do I need to do to check the receiver end is working? Any thoughts / pointers on fixing or replacing.
Thanks
Ian

Re: central locking remote control not working
If your getting slight movement
Sounds like the sender and receaver are working
I'd look inside door at the moving bit
Probaly needs a lube or tighten

Make sure the vehicle batteries are fully charged. I had the same problem with the locking being more and more sluggish as the battery dropped in voltage.
