Bertha the Bongo

Post by Bexafloat » Wed Apr 20, 2016 9:41 pm

Hey Hey,

Signed up as we've recently purchased our first Bongo. After looking for one for a long time and seeing soooooo many we eventually found a perfect one just up the road in Huntly (we are up in Aberdeenshire so it's a trek to anywhere!).

Now we've got the means for adhoc holidays with the dogs and have already been away a few times in it and looking to start the conversion very soon as we've a trip to Ireland next month in her :)

My boyfriend modifies everything he gets a chance to (cars, quads, go-Karts, if it has an engine it gets a mod!) so it'll have some nice wheels on shortly as well as the conversion from Transwagon. (Rear one we think)

Anyway, look forward to bongo adventures and posting a bit more on here we have found such a wealth of knowledge on the site and forum so really pleased to be part of it.

First Bongo Trip
We went on a wee adventure with the dogs (Ellie - Border/Jack Cross, Twix - Yorkie)

Machine Polished
A friend was needing a job to do on nightshift so went over her with a machine polisher. She came up a treat! Much better than we were expecting. Just need to sort the bonnet with a re-spray or a new one as it's missing all the laquer and paint under the bra

New Wheels
Kieran was desperate to get a nice set of Jap wheels for it. He found a nice set of Advan SA3s, 17x9 et38 and 17x8 et 45. They need some skinnier tyres as the 255s are too wide. After the tyres have been changed and centre bores expanded they'll go on :)

We'll keep this thread updated with the bongo pimping and adventures.
