Trip to Woburn & Bongo spotting

Post by minidaz123 » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:02 pm

Was Emilys birthday today, and, as the Queen had very kindly let her have the day off work  , we thought we'd have a day out at Woburn Safari Park.

While in the monkey enclosure, as we'd got the AFT hatch open, the boys made full use of it, when a monkey decided to sit on the roof :

In the same area, we were lucky to spot at least 4 other Bongos, although i'd not seen this version before :D

After driving round, we parked up and i got a chance to use my new table - lunch & coffee in the Bongo :)

So rather than sit in the restaurant, this was our view : Camels and Deer ( or they might have been goats )

This was the first time since we got the Bongo that we've actually used it for chilling and eating in, and it felt very comfortable and relaxed ... looking forward to doing it again soon :D

Hi

That photo of the two children looking out of the roof is excellent. What camera did you use?

Open this URL http://regex.info/exif.cgi then drag and drop the picture (between Tabs in the browser) onto the input box - lo and behold ....

Did one of the monkeys steal your rear wiper arm? :)

The camera is a Samsung ES15 10.2. Nothing special, just a cheap ( well it was free, as Emily got it a few years back as a gift from her work ) digital camera :)

 Not exactly. We've got the wiper arm in the garage, as the previous owner took it off due to not really needing it as the rear window has quite a dark tint on.

Great pictures... love Woburn Safara although I have to admit I've not had the guts to take the bongo there what with those monkeys :)

That's part of the fun having a monkey on the roof
Although a few years ago in a different car, after we'd been round and parked up, we noticed a rather large pile of stinky monkey poo sitting in the middle of the roof

The rail and leg came from http://www.rainbowconversions.co.uk/

The table came from B & Q :D It's exterior ply ( 9mm i think ) that i got cut to size, then sanded down, and covered :)
