Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good driveaway awning for a Bongo Friendee with a canopy attached? Does anyone use a magnetic strip at all, how have you found using it?
Kind regards

You don't say which type of attached canopy you have some already have a slot(s) in the leading edge to attach a driveaway type to.
A lot of people have reported that the magnets don't work very well as soon as a breeze gets up, they start to slide and then any flapping dislodges the magnets.

Ah, I naively didn't realise there were different types - ours has a Fiamma f45s canopy. That's helpful to know regarding magnetic strips - thanks!

Well the Fiamma 45 range has one or two slots in the leading edge;
that one has a single slot, the latest F45S has two slots one from each end;
Just run your Kader strip into one of them and the other side into the awning and your driveaway is setup

Ah brilliant! Ours is the second picture with 2 slots! This is really helpful, thank you so much!
Re: Driveaway awning
Sorry! So to driveaway, you detach the Kader strip? Or the awning from the Kader strip?

You pull the Kader strip out and then the vehicle is detached from the awning and you drive away, otherwise you would have to take the awning down to slide it out from the slot!

Yes, as Geoff says, slide the Kador strip out which leaves the figure-8 attached to the drive-away awning but detached from the canopy, so you can drive off. It's common to place a couple of tent pegs by your wheels on that side before you move, so you can park back in almost the same spot to make reconnection easier.
