waterpump or airlock or eekk

Post by chasleton » Thu Jun 23, 2011 9:26 pm

The old girl been running fine then this evening, Drove 2 mins down the road and the mason alarms gone of big time stop asap. and got towed back she starts fine but fan cuts in almost instantly. No water loss. so I am thinking either waterpump or i have suddenly got an airlock. All pipes appear cool and when checked the coolant bottle is not warm either. I am guessing water pump but with all the experts on here I thought i would see what you think

I might be stating the obvious here but have you checked the belts?

as you have no water loss check the overstarter motor hose first, then the rear heater, as this is next to the fan switch that puts the fans on,any air that has entered the system may be near here.
