New Forest
Does anyone know what the restrictions are in the New Forest on the Forestry Commission sites re a Bongo AFT with awning or with trailer tent [i.e. people sleeping in the Bongo and under canvas simultaneously]. Do they class the vehicle as a campervan or a car etc?
Secondly are there ever any meets there?

You just pay for pitch... be quick about booking or all the electric hook up pitches will be gone LOL
Lovely site, esp if you get a pitch alongside the trees

Re: New Forest
Thanks for the offer Eat Aunt, but I'm a regular at Setthorns - just not taken a Bongo before and heard that they are tightening up on what they charge for and how they assess you. I'm going to Cornwall soon to a recommended site which thankfully charge by person and as long as your vehicle/tent/awning etc fits onto your pitch seem to be happy to allow anything reasonable without bumping up the charge. Setthorns may be later on but I was curious if others had been penalised if they had a camper conversion. Even some boot sales will charge a Bongo as a van whilst others agree its a car. Personally mine is a godsend.....Can find out site if you need it.

I've got an unconverted tintop. Sometimes it's a campervan, sometimes it's a car
