Hi im new to this,i have just brought a bongo, and we have converted it ourselves, but the fuel gauge keeps saying empty,so i put more in but it only takes £8.ish,the needle then goes to quarter of a tank, would that mean the float could be stuck, and how do i mend it,being a woman :(

Hi Bongo
Welcome to the madhouse!! A poor earth connection to the tank seems to be the usual cause of fuel gauge problems. Floats rarely stick, after all, they are floating in oil.

Welcome Bongo (amazing no-one has nicked that 'callsign name' before). Hope you have may miles of happy motoring. Cant really add to the above except that everytime I read about fuel gauges on BF, it is this earthing problem, which seems easily fixed as long as you can gain access OK once you've had a conversion done.
