Hello all!
Having just bought my first Bongo (40,000k miles) I've noticed that the large plastic engine undertray is missing - is this a problem? Are these available from any source??
Many thanks,
Malc. :D

I wouldnt bother they only get in the way during servicing, and the bongo has the aerodynamics of a hovis loaf

Hi Malc

It's there to protect that area of your bongo from water and mud splashing up and bits of debris like stones hitting the engine, sump cover, etc. So really it should be in place. Contact Bongobits or Bell Hill they may have one available.

I had one on my previous car, which came off down a country lane in Devon, couldnt put it back on,made no difference to the car,and sold the car 29000 miles later, the only difference was that I saved about 45 mins labour charge, and the mechanic reckoned that it made no difference what so ever, he had never heard anyone have any trouble before, but at the end of the day its down to your choice

Doesn't really have any effect on the access for servicing Neil/Di but it does keep a lot of crud out of the engine compartment - especially keeps the crud/salt off the engine electrics..................
