For starters i was misreading the code. 6 long-pause is 60 and 1 long-pause 6 short is 16. 16 is the speed sensor that kicks in when the 60 (shift solenoid A) is a fault.
It required changing the solenoid bank in the tranny.
It's a simple enough task IF ye have the facilities, tools and technical help. Simon from Dunnings (01305783113) supplied the parts and a very helpful bolt chart and info on the job. I have the facilities and the wife did spanner-boy so there was no chance of getting it wrong
This is not for dabblers; Dunnings do the drive in - drive out service.
