Hi
I have a problem with electric windows. My driver window electic window will not work and also will not operate the passenger side (although the passenger side operates from it's own switch. Does the drivers side switch box have it's own fuse and if so how do I identify it in the fuse box? Any other ideas much appreciated.

A broken wire, between the door and body, is a frequent problem with the windows.

So is a dry solder joint in the circuit board in the driver's switch.............

If you are going to check the wires from the car thru the door pillar, be careful, when you have removed the corrugated cover there are loads of very thin wires each of which have to be examined very carefully as a break may not be obvious, as I found when my central locking stopped working, There is not a lot of play in the wires either and they are bloody awkward to get at too. Good luck and hope it sorts soon. Happy motoring.
