Have just found a scrap yard replacement from a mazda 323 n reg, switch unit is identical so will require NO modification all to do is remove the two small screws from underneath that hold the unit to the trim. Have just changed mine as an experiment took about ten minutes (mine worked fine but in the quest for donor parts had to have a look).

although it took me a day and a half of removing car door panels and switches to find something that will work, with it being from a common 323 it shouldnt cost any more than a tenner from a scrappie. I will also be stripping other items from the same vehicle to see what will fit or convert as it looks like there could be some more bits

Good detective work Richard D. I will amend the Parts database in the members only area to reflect your findings.

Thanks Richard D.
R Reg 323 fits perfectly from a scrap yard only £3 and it works.
