Can anybody help.
The washers for both the front and rear have pact in, the wipers work, but in this weather not much good if the windscreen is covered in filth.
Also, Ive tried the old fix it method, (5lb lump hammer) still wont work, any ideas?

Is it the pump thats gone or do the pipes need cleaning out.Also check the nozzles on the bonnet stick a pin in em they might just be clogged up.
Can you hear the pump when You squirt the water?

It's just that mine were this morning and I'd used 50/50 screenwash. It took half an hour to defrost them.

Ours was frozen too, strong mix of wash in bottle, but still froze, was a cold morning

Absolutely - I've never found antifreeze helps. I suspect the volatile antifreeze may evaporate from the solution on prolonged contact with atmosphere (as in at the jet exit) near the jet so you get a 'cap' of ice just near the surface. Anyone want to do a thesis on it

Antifreeze in washers won't stop the small amount in the tubes freezing - mine regularly freeze when the temp goes below freezing.

I didnt think you could use anti freeze in the washers? does it not damage the wiper blades over time? I dont use screen wash either, i put a couple of drops of t.f.r. in the washer reservoir, and it hasn,t froze yet, touchwood...

I think the antifreeze is actually screenwash fluid.

not frozen I checked, I think the pump might have pact in. I will have to strip it out this weekend, thanks everybody for your help.
