Great to see more people here! We keep seeing Bongos - maybe you just look more once you have your own, or maybe there really are more of them around?
Anyone travelling between Dublin and Belfast next while beware by the way- there seemed to be Diesel on the road (A1) just outside Lisburn, and we nearly crashed!! One of the scariest moments of my life... Bongo totally out of control.

Hey fellow Bongo-ers,
I've just joined, and am proud to be the owner of my very own Bongo, down in County Cork! I've seen chat about a possible celtic trip in July 2010 - can anyone tell me if these dates have been confirmed as I definitely want to book in early.

Haven't converted her fully yet, she's got the elevating roof and standard side kitchen which will have to do if I haven't finished her by then... but boy, I hope we get the weather this year, because last year was a dud.

Love to hear from fellow Irish owners, to swap stories and tips and even encourage more regular Irish meets, as we can't always make it to the UK.

talk soon,
Net

Alhoa from Dublin

Just a quick hi and hello. Currently in Dublin. Bought my Bongo in the South West of England (The Mazda Bongo Garage). Believe not many Bongo's in Dublin?

roll call ? -- I'll bite

I'm based in Cork, been driving a '96 Bongo for the last 4 years, can't get enough of it.
Don't see many others on the roads down here tho.

Whilst I'm posting, anybody out there got a set or rear seats (3rd row) that they'd be willing to sell me ?
No problems travelling to collect.

Tx,
Daithi

Hello all!

Been looking into(obsessing about) Bongos since last summer - New Years Resolution is to have one on the driveway by end of 2013.

Based in the West - County Galway.

Hi All,

It took a lot longer than I thought to source a decent Bongo in Ireland... but now the happy owner of a 1997 2.5 V6. Owned it a couple of weeks and so far all's going great!

Thanks Helen,

In all my time looking, it was the first petrol Bongo to come up for sale in Ireland. It's nice to have the option of LPG conversion if the mpg bothers me... so far though I'm happy with performance.

It was a nice find though - Undersealed on import back in 2011 and a very nice, practical conversion inside - must add photos to 'Show us your Insides' when I get a chance.
