WHATS THE HOLD LIGHT MEAN???

DONT BELIEVE IT AFTER SPENDING DAYS TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY ME GLOW PLUG LIGHT IS FLASHING NOW THE BLOODY HOLD LIGHT AS COME ON BUT WHAT DOSE IT MEAN?????

ITS OK PEEPS DIDANT KNOW IT WAS WORKED OF A BUTTON THORT SOME FAULT HAD APEARD JUST ME BEING THICK !!!

i also did this in my early days with the bongo but i do find the button is easy to catch while putting things in the dash pocket so beware at high speed as this will do damage to the gearbox!!!!!! :( :( :( :(

It won't aitch........I as curious and tried it............... :roll: The speed sensor only allows it to drop to direct 4th

thanks for that i was a little worried if i caught the button when shooting up the M5 at 80+ felt like the gearbox might reach the moon before me i can feel a little better now. Happy new year to all.

Interesting. I've caught the 'Hold' button a few times (and a few were me just carelessly playing with the knob on the motorway - steady matron!) and thought gosh, that's a scary bit of design. I've tended to to 65-70 in the interest of fuel economy so less traumatic when it happened but still....

I can only think that the Mazda designers and testers between them must have observed that this could happen, but knew that their design prevented serious mishaps. I mean, it would be a very big price for a very small mistake - not good marketing! :roll: :roll:
