Does any one know the best place for me to get “The coolant pipe”, which runs from the passenger’s side over the engine/transmission to the rear heater unit this had corroded, luckily I noticed the water coming out. The RAC man slaved in a rubber hose for me and this works fine but not ideal.
Thanks

Bongobits have a comprehensive range of cooloant pipes and might be worth a look, Link on Bongo Fury home page.

If your coolant pipe has corroded, check that you are running with good quality coolant at the proper strength, as at the correct strength it should be anti-corrosive

Same thing happened to me in my old spacecruiser, just managed to limp to a local garage and he took out the old pipe and replaced it with one of the rubber pipes that take high pressure and heat. Lasted years, he did mumble and mutter about why these pipes arent rubber in the first place as being reinforced they last better and are more suited than corrosive metal. It happened again on my Renault espace and again was swapped for the reinforced rubber, much better so no guesses as to what will happen if bongo's pipe goes. ( if I keep her that long). Happy motoring.
