I replaced the radio in my Bongo shortly after buying it. Never been one to listen to the radio much, mostly play CDs or hook up the Ipod.

However traffics been bad round where I work recently so I have been listening out for the travel reports. The radio FM reception is appalling. I can barely pick up my local station and as for radio one forget it.

The local car radio specialists are fairly certain its the aerial but before I go ahead and replace it must I replace it with a like for like Bongo aerial or is there another solution?

Not an old coat hanger though. Had enough of them on my old Cortinas !!!! :D

:? This sounds a bit strange Spaceman, I think you must have a break in your aerial lead or a dodgy connection somewhere :?: I`m probably listening to the same stations as you, using the Bongo aerial No probs Before you start paying your hard earned sheckles out on something you may not need, pull your equipment out and plug in an aerial lead, Wave 105 it about abit, and see what happens  PS Cortinas now your talking. I agree with crazy - there's not much can go wrong with an aerial, it's just a bit of wire! More likely to be a damaged cable or a dodgy connection somewhere.
