Bongo Fury

Hi all i just got my bongo and I'm starting to plan my conversion.

First thing I want to do is electricity so I can run cables before I out some insulation in.

200W flexible panel
50A DC to DC
2000W inverter
200ah lifepo4
Plug for camp site hookup

Foes any one have recommendations, or where can I find info on this type of set up in the members area?

Is Renogy any good? I like the idea of sticking with one brand for all so I can monitor and control the whole setup in one app...

Hi welcome aboard!

In lots of cases you will find it better to source 12 volt devices rather than plan to use an inverter and mains ones, the reason being that there are losses at each stage of conversion of voltage level. Heating devices are the exemption but again you will find its a lot cheaper to use gas appliances rather than electrical ones and you are not constrained to campsites with EHU if using gas appliances.

You won't find any single place on the forum as devices have changed considerably over the last few years, so its better to use the search facilities for each specific type.

That makes sense thanks. I'm now leaning pretty heavily towards a full Victron setup.

I am also aware that sticking 12V for most is ideal, however I do want the capability to do 240V and if need be run a toaster for 10 mins hence the inverter. My understanding is that if I wire things correctly then the inverter will just be off 95% of the time unless I'm using it.
