Cracked Windscreen

We have a crack in our windscreen which is getting bigger. Autoglass were contacted as part of our insurance but we are still waiting after over a week as they have to order a new windscreen in. Does anyone know if they will be successful or whether, after a long wait, they will come back and say they can't get one? If they can't, what is the best option?
Thanks,
James

I've used Autoglass before and found them quick and reliable.

Just asking both those who've responded. Was it a repair you had, or a complete replacement windscreen? They said they had to order a windscreen in and then told me they couldn't get one.

Replacement screen! Repairs have a very high failure rate and can only be used on small stone chips rather than cracks!
If you have a crack then if its from the edge of the screen its often due to rust problems at the edges causing the screen to be under tension it helps if your able to have the rust sorted prior to replacing!

Well Autoglass have told me they can't replace my screen? Have I somehow asked for the wrong screen? My insurance company has contacted them and got the same response. What are the options now?!
Should I call back Autoglass and try again? Is there an official designation for the screen that I can quote?
Thanks,
James

Thank you - I will get authorisation to proceed from Admiral and then book with them. It looks more promising so far.

Quick question - are the windscreens the same on all models? Autoglass claim to have repaired 60 Bongos in the last year and wondering if it's just that I haven't been able to put my year (2003) into the online system.
Would this be the correct windscreen on their system for my car?
MAZDA BONGO, 2 Door Van, 1995

I believe so, only the colour shade seems to vary, some are greenish some are a golden tint I believe.
Why are you referring to a TWO door van ? You should be referring to a Mazda Bongo Friendee ? There are driver, passenger, side and rear doors that's 4 doors as far as I am aware? There are several types of vehicles in the Mazda Bongo range including two door vehicles that were sold in the UK I believe ? See
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_Bongo there is a range of trucks with TWO doors but not Friendee's!!

It's because those are the only options when I select BONGO on the Autoglass Website
I can't seem to post a picture of it but if you go to the Autoglass website and try and enter my reg (VA52ZTM) it says it can't find and asks me to search - I select MAZDA -> BONGO and then only have 2 options (2 Door Truck/Lorry or 2 Door Van) Once I do either it doesn't allow me to enter a year for 2003 - only up to 1999 and then 2016 onwards.
The only other option under BONGO is F800 / F1000 BONGO but searching for those on the internet suggests they are very old models.
So I don't have any other options to select from.
If you want to try
https://www.autoglass.co.uk/ and let me know if there's another route to select - any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James

They don't have it listed as its NOT a European vehicle, its imported and hence not in there lists. Try calling them or use a company that does have imported cars in there lists, personally I would ring them.
