Bongo at the TT Races

Took my annual trip over to the Isle of Man for the TT Races
this time in the Bongo with two of my boys and our pushbikes in the back.
As ever, the Island and the TT Races were fab.
We set ourselves up at the BlackBerry Lane Campsite, a temporary site used during the busy TT and Manx GP races.
It’s normally home to Onchan FC, but Colin and the team there do a great job. They have a whole field full of pre-erected Bell Tents, and two other fields where a mixture of bikes and vans set themselves up.
I used my Decathlon Base Seconds as an awning, it pops up quickly and provided a great ‘living space’.
Only booked our crossings a couple of days before travelling, but was able, (with a bit of persistent checking of the SteamPacket website) to get the ferry crossings we needed, out and return via Heysham this time.
The island is a great place to visit whether like me, to immerse yourself in motorcycles, or at any time.
There’s loads to see and do there, a Steam Railway, Electric and Horse-Drawn Trams, beaches, wooded Glens, Stone Circles, whale watching and much more. Highly recommend if you fancy somewhere a little different.
