2l Petrol Not Starting

Hi all, long time reader but first post!
My 2lt. Petrol Bongo (2001) conked out today and is refusing to start. Got towed home by a puzzled AA man who did his best, but couldn’t work out what the issue was. Symptoms are:
- no issues until now. This morning it ran fine for a short trip (5 miles), I stopped for fuel. It restarted but conked out within about 10 meters. Would not restart.
- starter turns over no problem
- definitely has spark
- will run briefly with easy start sprayed down the intake, and sounds ok when it is running
- Fuel pump is pumping and there is fuel going to the injector rail
- when trying to start it does sometimes very briefly sound like it is going to catch, but doesn’t
- fuses and relays are all fine
- I have tried bypassing the fuel filter and no difference
It feels like it is a fuel issue, possibly the injectors not opening or insufficient fuel pressure?
Any ideas or pointers much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Ben
