Leisure Battery Fuses

Post by Bongo Beard » Sat Jun 22, 2024 6:11 pm

Ok so I've found out my bongo has a Leisure battery and not just a second van battery but after an extensive search through my van including the underside I cannot find any fuses for things that work only from the leisure battery, anyone got any ideas where they might be. Regards Bongo Beard

Normally a pair of fuses each close to the each battery feeding the Split Charge Relay, likely to be 40++ Amps these should only feed the relay as below.
Then you will have possibly 4 fuses which feed a swap loom that goes to the internal fuse box, it feeds the top left position Unswitched power (internal lights etc), the top right position which is the Auxiliary power circuits and radio etc. and then the two power blind positions top row 2nd & 3rd from right.
LIkely you will have some additional fuses that feed any power board at the rear of the van and any battery charger on EHU and similar.
The location of these additional fuses vary but commonly close to the LB itself, but depends on who did the conversion.

Hey did you ever find the leisure battery fuses on the 2000 Montague Bongo? I have the same model and need to replace mine after leisure battery went dud and needed replacing? All i can find is a 30 rated fuse in-line on the cable attached to the leisure battery. Any help welcome!

Not sure but a number of conversions have the LB circuit fuses mounted behind the drivers seat on the end of the side conversion ?
