Re-programming Sterling One Key fob

Hi there,
I have a problem where my key fob batteries ran out and now cannot re-programme them to the alarm and immobiliser system.
The security system is Sterling One (photo of fob attached). I've followed the instructions as listed in manual (photo attached) but whilst I can manually disable the immobiliser system via this method (Which tells me i'm getting the sequence and pin correct - and I can start it at least!) the key fobs don't seem to get reprogrammed.
Photo's don't seem to be attaching so i've quoted the instructions below:
"Pin code disarming
1. switch the ignition on and off twice and then turn the ignition back on within 7 seconds
2. The LED switch will fast flash rapidly for 3 seconds.
3. After flashing for 3 seconds, the LED will extinguish for 1 second. This represents a 0 digit
4. Count the flashes and turn the ignition off after the number of flashing corresponding to the first digit of the pin code (turn the ignition off during the pause after the initial 3 second rapid flash to obtain the 0 digit)
5. Turn the ignition back on and the LED will flash rapidly for 1 second, then extinguish for one second. Count the flashes and turn the ignition on after the number of flashes corresponding to the second digit of the PIN code (turn the ignition off during the pause to obtain the 0 digit.
6. Repeat the procedure for the third and fourth digit.
7. If the pin code is entered correctly, the system will now disarm when the ignition is switched off. If the pin code is incorrect, then the alarm system will remain armed
Programming new radio keys
1. enter the pin code as described previously in this manual (above)
2. Turn the ignition back on and press the button furthest from the key ring on the new radio key, to teach it to the system
3. Turn the ignition off.
4. If further radio keys are required - turn the ignition key back on and press the button furthest from the key ring on the next radio key, then turn off the ignition. Repeat this stage to programme up to 4 radio keys. If no further radio keys are to be programmed leave the ignition off for 25 seconds to exit. "
I've also tried the other re-programming method that has been suggested on here and is demonstrated by this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=mShU9jRAsIU but that isn't working either.
I've called around a number of key fob/security specialists in Cardiff but they all say they can't help with that particular vehicle or system.
Any help much appreciated.
thanks,
Jac
