V6 no start

Post by Jeff123345 » Wed May 01, 2024 11:49 am

HI, guys and gals, i've got a v6 petrol bongo that mysteriously died, iv'e checked
Good spark
Good fuel pressure around 45psi at fuel rail
cambelt looks tight and not missing any teeth- haven't looked at the timing yet

it does try to start, dosen't back fire
wets the plugs up

iv'e bought a 16-17 pin adapter but unable to find a diagnostic tool that works with no power at the plug
i did wonder if there was an idle air control valve?

And idears??

Cheers, all help appreciated

Do you have a Flashing Hold light as this indicates if you have an ECU error recorded, if its not flashing then unlikely to have an ECU error details of error codes and how to read them is shown here http://www.philmcfadden.co.uk/MazdaDiagnosticBox.htm
