Dismantle Rear Bench

Post by blanch80 » Thu Jan 04, 2024 1:39 pm

Hi,

I've taken the rear bench out of my Bongo to make way for a rear kitchen and seating.

Is there a way to dismantle the bench? I want to store it in my loft but it's too big to get through the loft hatch. Is there a way to remove the back of the bench from the seat, or another way to dismantle it?

It takes up a lot of room in a bedroom!

Thanks,
David.

The diagram https://www.lushprojects.com/bongoparts ... mgno=.html seems to suggest that you can take it apart at the hinge ?

That's really useful, thank you!
I'll have to take a look on a bigger screen than my phone. Anyone had any experience doing that?

I looked at this for exactly the same reason and found this video of a guy dismantling one on Youtube. I then decided it wasn't worth the effort and made room in my garage instead!

Yeah - that looks a bit much. Might just get some heavy duty shrink wrap and store it in the shed.
