Front fog lights retrofit

Post by iiitsRachel » Fri Dec 01, 2023 9:42 pm

Hi everyone i'm new here so i hope this is the right board to ask this! i have a 96 bongo that didn't come with front fog lights and i'd like some so i have a couple questions for other bongo people

if i buy stock ones with a switch does anyone know if the van is prewired and fused to be plug and play? i'm thinking it might be better to just get something aftermarket, so i was also wondering how good the stock fogs are if they actually help you see lol because out of all my 7 cars only my 04 outback's stock fog lights made any difference. also does it let you turn them on with just the parking lights? idk how it is in japan but here in canada all the cars' fogs can only turn on with low beams, and i really like to take photos with the parking/fog lights on :)

thank you!!

Unfortunately unless it had them originally only some of the loom is present, some critical parts won't be there. Its a lot easier to do your own wiring then to try to use the partial wiring loom that is there :-(

Welcome aboard.

Geoff's advice (top electrical chap) is spot on. 8)
