bongo intelligent alternator?

Hi im a leisure vehicle guy doing a big job on a bongo. I will be fitting a new zig unit new batteries etc .Ive discovered a large module in engine compartmnt that could be a 12v to 12v charger . Its a 1995 is it likey to have an intelligent alternator /charging sytem ex factory ?

No no chance of an intelligent alternator from factory at all! 4 connections only on standard alternator;

Hi Thanks for reply .Im having trouble identifying Alternator in that diagram .4 wires?
would that be
1 ht out to battery
2 rev counter out
3 wl feed
4... neg maybe ? Thanks Again

Top right of diagram!
Top left connection is the output to the 100 Amp fuse to charge the battery.
Top right for the field winding powered via the 30 Amp fuse.
Lower right signal to the "Charge" light, when not generating it send an earth to the light.
Lower left is the earth/chassis connection.
