Hi all,
My Bongo has come with the following remote key fob which seems to be factory issue.
The lock button felt stuck so I took it apart last night and found a, there's no battery in it and b, the microswitch for the lock button is missing.
First does anyone know what type of battery these take? There's a picture inside the case saying 7J29A which I assume is a Mazda part number, does anyone know what type of battery this equates to, I'm guessing a cr20 series battery of some type.
Secondly has anyone replaced a microswitch in these? I found something on ebay that looks similar last night but will need to wait till I'm back at work tonight to do some measurements and compare to the micro switch I've found.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Remote Key Fob Questions
Usually the battery size is marked on the fob. Sometimes it's trial and error. See screenshot as example. (I've removed poster's names for privacy, as they're not on the forum.) I've not heard of anyone replacing the microswitch. But plenty have replaced the fob.

Re: Remote Key Fob Questions
I went for a Toad Ai606 Cat1 alarm which now does my central locking. Was going to hang onto the fob incase i want to remove the alarm in the future & revert back to standard if i get rid of the van.

Re: Remote Key Fob Questions
Hi all,
I fitted the microswitch I found on ebay yesterday along with a new CR2025 battery and the fob now works.
Thanks for the advice
