Exhaust leak fixing

Hi all,

So, I've noticed that when I stop at lights for a reasonable time there is a noticeable exhaust smell and on investigating I think I've managed to identify that there is a leak at the manifold and down pipe join.
I've looked over the diagram here;
https://www.lushprojects.com/bongoparts ... 2of02.html

and also here;

So first thing is, do I just need nuts and washers to replace the old, since its stud based?

Second thing, trying to work out what gaskets I need, looks like this Diamond shaped gasket;
https://mazdabongo.com/product/mazda-bo ... ll-models/

Do I also need ring gaskets too though? If so, I've seen mention of small and large on shop sites so any clue on which I need for the job? Also, why the two different sizes?

Not worked on exhaust stuff before, but am I right in thinking its just a fairly simple unbolt old, fit the new stuff and I'm done? Or are there other parts I need like sealant etc to do the job?

As always, any advice and pointers much appreciated :D

Its normally the un-bolting bit that is hard it would seem from previous posts!
