Header Tank - missing pipe!

Post by ndh » Mon Aug 08, 2022 3:30 pm

Hi Folks,

Scary .... I'm missing the pipe from the top left of the header tank!

Where should it go?

(Just realised the refilling coolant is an 1.5hr - 3hr exercise!)

TIA

Which engine do you have ? Important information when asking technical queries :-)
If your a diesel or V6 then it goes nowhere because its sealed off as its not used the plastic case is not drilled out despite the spigot for a pipe.
If its the 2l model then it goes to the outlet from the engine where there would normally be the bleed pipe, it takes the place of the bleed pipe nd vents any gases directly into the de-gassing tank. See the diagrams for details http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... 1of02.html

I meant to say it's a V6.
I'm going by the picture in the fact sheet: Changing the Coolant on a Petrol Bongo
