sliding door rear roller mechanism

Have just bought a Bongo V6 and now tackling a few little issues with it. Sliding door is not very smooth when opening and closing and I see the rear sliding mechanism has a large vertical roller and then there are 2 upright pins, from what I can see without removing it. My question is should those 2 pins have rollers or some kind of slider that contacts the rail, mine has neither :?:
More importantly just did a first run mainly on motorway driving at 55mph and disappointingly am only getting about 24mpg. Any ideas on how I might improve that apart from the obvious :(

Most common problem, is grease that has been poured into the tracks, to which all the dust and sand then sticks to, especially the lower one!
Try cleaning out all the muck & grease from all the tracks and then just ensure that only the bearings for the rollers are oiled, many people think it needs grease/oil in the tracks themselves - just like you would grease the road you drive on NOT!
This page on the mech diagrams might help takes a little studying and using the table and descriptions in the top left to identify parts - clicking the numbers on the diagram will open the table as well. http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... o=.html#20

Thanks very much Geoff I can see from the parts diagram there are 2 rollers 72233 illustrated which are missing from my mechanism which is the problem. Any ideas where I might get a complete mechanism? Might try and make up new rollers but a lot of faffing around :wink:

There are several methods;
At the component level use the diagram to get the actual part number, first column in the table, then simply google the part number it may find a supplier ......
After that its try the spares companies and after that breakers also some on FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/231471440365913/;
These companies do a range of spares, not all will have everything so try them all;

Bongo Land https://bongoland.co.uk/shop/

Mazda Bongo https://mazdabongo.com/

Bongo Spares http://www.bongospares.co.uk/

Vosper Parts https://parts.vospers.com/

Auto Jap Spares https://www.autojapspares.com/

Found this thread while searching for a similar issue - the vertical roller on the centre sliding mechanism has completely disintegrated on my van. It made an awful noise when closing the door and on further inspection the outer race was broken in half and there were loose ball bearings in the track. We're now living in the dark ages as we have to lift the door when we slide it open/closed so it doesn't drag on the track #-o

I'm curious if the OP was able to find a replacement part as I'm not having much luck sleuthing around the various Bongo specialists and FB groups.

There available on the web https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=S08472233C otherwise its check the breakers for small parts like these as there unlikely to put them on the web so phone calls around to pin them down.

For future reference in case someone is searching for this in the future:

I sourced the whole roller mechanism from Milton Goughs BONGO Graveyard for £30 posted. The install took about 15-20 minutes.
