Missing fuses

Post by Trekker12 » Sat Jun 18, 2022 11:36 am

I’m not sure when these were removed or if they have always been missing since we bought the van last august but the previous owner said he had never touched the fuses so I’m a bit confused if I need the missing ones from the photo attached or if they are optional systems not in our van or someone in history has done some re wiring. Everything seems to work but I haven’t driven the van in six months and it’s just back from a head change so all seems a bit new again.

How would I find out if I need to re instate these. One of them on the lid says it’s for the ABS but 60amps for abs seems excessive and it seems to stop ok.

It’s a 1996 2.5 diesel

The two at the back are not actually fuses but relays, used for petrol pump motor and on the Manual gearbox versions. The missing one on the front row is for the ABS version so we can say that your vehicle is an Automatic Diesel without ABS fitted ;-)
Full details of every position available here http://www.g8dhe.net/bwm/ on the "By Fuse" tab.
