Post by MsMcCherry » Thu Jun 16, 2022 5:37 pm

Hi. Im looking to buy a solar panel for my Bongo. Any recommendations? Whats the lowest wattage for performance? Looking at getting a 100w, any good?

100 Watt is the most sensible for average use, if your a very low power user then you might get away with 80 Watt, quite a few people go for higher depending on there power needs and what will fit on the roof safely. I always recommended Solar Camper Solutions as he designed the original around the Bongo on this very forum. https://www.solarcampersolutions.co.uk/index.php/en/

Second that, we had a panel installed by them in 2014 in readiness for our assault on Iberia - see HERE if you were unfortunate enough to have missed that - it's still going strong and kept our stock of cerveza, cava, chorizo & queso cool for later enjoyment
