Clean inside lip rear arches, it is a good time to....

Post by BongoBongo123 » Thu Jun 09, 2022 12:33 pm

I just checked my rear arches and took about 300grams of mud out of each side. Just a reminder it is worth putting a thick leather glove on and clearing behind those arches (a blunt food eating knife does it well also with some gentle dragging) which as we all know have a tendency to rot through eventually. At least this stops that layer of mud holding damp against the rear arch lip for lengthy periods of time. Then after downpours, of which we have had many this early summer, air can get behind and along with the heat from the sun, they dry moisture out fast, especially this time of year.

Always suprised how much winter induced dried mud I manage to scrape off from behind there. Easy and satisfying.

And behind the plastic trim that covers the fuel filler pipes.
