Timing belt & other stuff

Had my new one installed today along with a new water pump and a rocker gasket all bled and running stable, I only heard the van as it was coming from the garage and I was leaning against the door sheltering from the wind, this was done by a bloke recommended on here as the 'bongo king' in Thirsk, I have serious doubts this bloke and his chums stood there bleeding the system as described here and the needle stayed at 11 for the fifty miles home so some people know another way.
I know the hilux suffered similar bleed problems and to get around those you could suspend a bottle from the raised bonnet and 'burp' the system once it was up to temps but after I installed the new head on that I simply drove to a place here where piles of earth were tipped and drove it onto one, it burped itself so there are ways its just finding out what they are but all this faff on with funnels and pipes going up and down has got to be someones idea of a joke.
