Another question
I owned a toyota surf a few years back and similarly they overheat and crack the head, I stripped and repaired that with a new head and fitted a real temperature guage inline on the top radiator hose, has anyone here done so as from the sounds of it the standard guage is like the surfs, rubbish. H
Re: Another question
There is a mod you can do to the temperature gauge to make it more sensitive to temperature fluctuations and also to incldue a warning light to draw your atteniton to it - see here https://mikrob.ru/download/file.php?id=463934
There are also a number of aftermarket temperature sensors you can add, in tandem with the low coolant alarms.
