Lids on the sink/hob combo - robust?

Post by silverdreammachine » Sat Nov 13, 2021 12:48 pm

Morning all,

I'm just deciding on the fit-out of the silver dream machine, and before I go for the Dometic combo can anyone tell me how robust the lids are? For those that have them, do you use them like glass worktop savers and put stuff on the top of them or chop things, or are they easily damaged? I am having a side kitchen on the sliding door side, so trying to make the most of all the surface space, and your experienced voices would be much appreciated!

Yes on my old van they were useful working surfaces all the time, no problems at all for cutting and preparing food or supporting heavier objects when travelling. The only thing to avoid is lowering them down with the gas still lit!!!

Ha! That's really good to know, thanks Geoff - and on the gas I can definitely see myself doing that repeatedly #-o
