Hello,
Issue with Cobra Cat 1 alarm.
The battery on my key fob went dead and I had to replace the battery. Unfortunately I forgot that you need to go through a reprogramming process when you replace the battery.
Now I need to reprogram the key fob but the problem is the car is locked and I don’t know how to unlock it without setting the alarm off.
To be clear, I believe the reprogramming process starts when the car is already unlocked, not locked.
Any ideas how to get the bloody thing unlocked without setting the alarm off?
Thanks,
Steve

Do you only have a single remote fob ? use another one to open it and then follow the re-programming/reset sequence for your alarm version see https://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100 ... larm+reset

Without another fob, then it wouldn't be much of an alarm and not a Cat 1 if you could get in without setting the alarm off!

I would say it's much better to ask a emergency locksmith east london to reprogram you a new fob or to replace the battery if the problem is the battery, as far as I know there could be a lot of other problems with the fob. It can also be a central lock issue. Even if it's the battery you would be able to find new batteries at the locksmith too, these guys have everything you might need to open mostly any doors of yours

Yeah I called a locksmith once out he came and drilled through the barrel, replaced it and charged over a hundred quid back in the mid eighties, I've broke in ever since and whatever I broke getting in I replace and I've not been out of pocket since. Worst things about vehicle alarms is when they start going wrong leaving you immobilised or locked out, bike ones are notorious for it and best stripped out.
