Leak from bottom of air conditioning unit?

Hi all,

Took the van out for a spin and noticed a leak right dead center under the front bumper later in the day after it was left parked up for a while. I assumed the worst but upon closer inspection it appears to be coming from a hole in the bottom of the plastic unit shown in the picture.
I have no idea if something was connected here before or what but it appears to be the source.

This is most likely just condensate caused by the air-con running, perfectly normal.

I'm guessing you checked the coolant, once cold, just to be certain.

I checked it and the coolant levels are spot on.
I was confused because it didn't seem to be coolant and to the best of my knowledge the air con and coolant systems are all the one.
There was a good size of a puddle out of it which I've never seen happen before. Maybe it's something to do with the temperature :?

Anyhow, I'd rather ask a possibility foolish question than be negligent and ruin my van

Thanks Bob

Not at all foolish, I took mine to the garage to get this checked a few years ago, and just last Thursday I was dropping a pal at the garage when a mechanic pointed out the amount of liquid running from under Bongy.

I'm sure it's a lot more in this hot weather. 8)

The cooling half of the Air Con system is separate from the heating half.
When the cooling part cools the air then the extra water in the warm air condenses out and drips out for the front system its dead centre just behind the front wheels, for the rear system its just behind the drivers door - and looks to be the same place where there are lots of engine coolant leaks from the heating half! If its clear and plain water its condensation, if its coloured and taste sweet its engine coolant!
