Rear Springs

Hi All

I think my Bongo needs new rear sprigs as I think they have gone a little soft.
It seems a little lower than it should be and just general feels softer than the front and feels wort of pitchy (is that a word).

My main question is about the replacement springs. Most seem to be heavy duty and I am wondering if these cause the ride to be stiffer or if they are ok.
I do tow with the bongo quite a lot so heavy duty may be better anyway but just wondered if anyone has fitted them and wonder what they are like.

Oh I will be replacing the dampers at the same time
Thanks.

I just bought a set of uprated springs (25% stiffer) from spring coil as they are local to me because I wanted to reduce body roll a little. Not fitted yet so can’t say much more but given you’re towing you might want stiffer springs or an airlift kit, I’m hoping springs don’t stiffen the ride too much but compared to my car the bongo is a fluffy pillow

Thanks

Let me know how you get on.

I am going to try an airbag kit first and some new dampers.

keep you posted

If you have a standard set up you could always measure the gap from the tyre to the wheel arch and compare it with others allowing for tread wear.
