HELP, I put petrol in.....

So like an idiot I just put 24 litres of petrol in my 2.5 diesel bongo
can I get away with the fill it with diesel trick or does it need drained?

And also... can I siphon the fuel or will there be an anti siphon device?
Any advice is much appreciated thanks guys.

You won't get away with that amount in, and I'm pretty sure there's no anti-syphon thingy, but give it a go.

Thanks I didn’t think so. Currently sat on a patrol station forecourt in Workington
got a mate coming armed with oils drums, hose a tow rope.... feel like a proper womble lol

Soooo.... petrol tastes vile
couldn’t get the fuel running with that method so ended up going to Halfords for a siphon hand pump. Pulled 20 litres out then filled it to the brim with diesel. Home now and the old boy seems to be running ok, fingers crossed we’re in the clear. Thanks again for the help Bob.

This might help you in the future, it fits on the inside of the fuel flap and when you open the flap it lets you know you have a diesel vehicle.
