Loose wiring/fuse box

Our lovely bongo went into a mood last week (its a teenager clearly) and went completely dead - ignition/interior lights/no auto close side door. After a lot of swearing and looking aimlessly under the bonnet I've tracked it to the fuse block next to the car battery (100A Main, 60A Ing etc). Having given it a little wobble, she started again. So it must be a loose connection or a knackered fuse block. Any suggestions, hints or tips or things to avoid before I commence surgery would be gratefully received.

 :D

The arm carrying the fuses is also the battery terminal connector, make sure the connector is tight on the battery terminal and also the bolt that connects the arm to the connector is tight.

The big blue 100 amp fuse has been known to crack. It's ceramic. You should inspect it, but watch out as it's bolted from underneath. If it needs replacing Bongospares have them in stock.

Thank you both - that's really helpful and I suspect that should solve it thinking about it how it behaves! Much appreciated! :D :D :D :D

Problem solved!!! All kinds of loose nuts and bolts around that terminal. All tightened and back to behaving!

Many thanks!
