Air intake adjuster

Does anyone bother switching the air intake from cold to hot running. I have petrol 2ltr and just haven't bothered, leaving it on warm weather setting. I know this winter has been very warm but in more northern areas does anyone think it makes a difference.

Its only for the cabin air, not the engine, and were not exactly a cold country compared to parts of Japan where the northern island experience -40°C on a regular basis!
