Hi,

We have a JAL conversion with a mushroom roof, and interested in how others find putting the thing down? To ensure the air escapes, you need to move some of the roof boards, but its very difficult to then put them in place when the roof is down, partly because there is a side board that folds down against the roof boards.

Anyone got the secret to this, otherwise seems a lot of effort!

I know Jillygumbo fitted some vents to the top/front of hers, I think that helped with condensation, too.

Might be worth a PM.

Mine wasn't a mushroom roof though Bob. I don't think this is the same issue that I had.

I was speaking to Phil at JAL about this and he says there are 3 options.

1) You could split the board in 2. This will make it easier to move & assemble.
2) Drill hole(s) in the board to act as hand-holds.
3) Upgrade to the new vented alloy boards (improved airflow)
