ABS Light

Hey Guys
My Diesel bongo has developed a intermittent fault. When the van is cold the ABS light comes on and stays on. I can immediately reset this by switching the van off then on again and stays off. Also when the van is warm all is ok.
I've checked and cleaned sensors but looking for advice on the next step.
Got it booked in for work next week at bongo spares but looking for the obvious stuff first.

Try checking the plugs under the van, break apart clean use WD40 and reconnect. I had similar problems a couple of years back and pretty certain that moisture had crept into at least one of the connectors which was causing the problem.

Hi
Just as a update to anyone who may have the same problem. I took the van to the top guys at bongo spares who tested all the sensors and confirmed all ok but on a test drive the drivers side front and rear ones were in fault after a diagnostic test so replaced and now all sorted.
Just goes to show even though test ok they still may have issues ?

Yes they have been known to go intermittent, the sensor is just a coil of very fine wire so it doesn't take much corrosion or a really bad shock to cause a partial break that then starts intermittently failing

Thanks.
Good to hear it's sorted, and an outcome is always useful in the future.
