Reading fault codes (flashing light)

Hi All

Decided to health check the V6 Bongo, and managed to get the diagnostic set up with the flashing LED and jumper wire.

If I posted a link to a video of the flashes, would anyone be able to read what the codes mean (i.e. bongo morse code)

I'm strugging with the sequence of flashes.

Any help much appreciated.

Some of the later ECU's use a 4 digit code not just 2 digits that came out on the earlier versions.

Brilliant thanks.

So. After some Bletchley Park style decoding, here are the codes [ L = long flash, S= short flash]

L L S L L = 0100
L L S L S L = 0110
L S L S S S S S L S S L S = 1521

So, possible MAF sensor issues
Intake temperature sensor issue
VRIS solenoid issue.

However, they are all linked (air flow and temperature) so could just be one sensor. I'm planning to replace the intake temperature sensor (cheapest) and then solenoid if needed, and finally the MAF if needed.... as the MAF is expensive !!

There are many MAF Cleaners available, for £5 - £10. They seem to have very good results for users and might be worth a go before buying a new MAF. The nearest experience I've had was using contact cleaner on the switches for Bongo blinds and it worked a treat. Saved replacing them.
