Hi all.
Am having non starting issues and am learning as I go.
Bongo was good for the summer and a few trips out of Scotland to Englandshire. While last away not starting first time. So changed glow plugs. Long ones for short one after two weeks, guess what... Rubbed through isolation and shorted.
So new glow relay in.
I drained the battery from trying to start so much. Got a Bosch S4 Car Battery 335.
Replaced glow plugs again Correct size this time.
Then fusible link issue wire was burned out. Could not order one locally so did the fix of wire and fuse holder.,some of you will have seen the pics from someone that dud the same.
So replaced relay, right glow plugs, battery, and fusible link 30 amp fuse.
Started fine 1st time, great took her for a drive. Stopped twice no issues on restart.
Got back from work today gave it a try, non starter. 30 amp fuse in fusible link blown, only had 2 x 35 amp fuse at home. So gave that a try blow first one. Second one started fine but fuse blown also.
So I think I have short. I could just put in a higher rated fuse. But there is issues there... I could carry 35 amp fuses with me.
So has any one had similar issues and how do I find a short?
Any help appreciated and thanks for reading such a long post...
