2nd that. Have used nothing but a Pela pump for 12+ years and it has saved a lot of aggravation! :D

Sound. :D

You must do it after a run so she's up to temp, insert the tube then pull back about 1/4" once it touches the bottom.

Thats so the oil is thin and sucks up easily. Hold the suction tube like a dart when inserting it so you can best feel for it hitting sump bottom. A few have missed this point and carried on pushing it in way too far with the result it got caught on machinery. But if you use good sense and proceed with caution it should be fine. Its never caught me out in all these years and I can't imagine the hassle of doing my oil change without one.

Yes, I've always heard a positive 'clunk' when it touches the sump bottom. :)

Ahh yes, but a very satisfying and rewarding 'clunk'.

Sorry just one more question. Can I change the filter after I have drained the oil with the pela pump

I would say it's no different, just don't tell the filter.

And I'd put a tray under it anyhow, just to catch any oil in it. 8)
