Bongo Fury

Been chancing it in the car wash over the years but this time the reversing mirror was broken off at the plastic mirror housing itself. Leaving the exposed bolt usually inside the mirror visible and looking fine.
Now I’ve ordered a new complete stem and mirror but do I really had to take the aerofoil off to get to the screws?
Adding if so , how.
Any advice please.

Yes as I recall, two allen bolts each side when you open up the rear door. then lift of slowly, releasing the brake light cable as you go.

Are they those star Allen keys
Have taken a photo but file too large.

Star ? There normal Allen bolts, hex sided hole.
