bolts on tailgate gas struts - size??

hi, I attempted to replace the gas struts and rushed and have stripped the bolt hole threads, I'm ok repairing but don't know what the bolt size is to get the right kit (its got an 8 on the bolt?). I stripped the hole on the bolt that goes into the actual door
I can get a kit for
M6 x 1.0 mm
M8 x 1.25 mm
M10 x 1.5 mm
M12 x 1.75 mm
which one do I need?
